1. Leave your schedule open.
This is crucial. Depending on your spa, you may be gone for most of the day. Sometimes your massage therapist will add on a bonus facial or will even spend an extra few minutes on your problem areas. The last thing you want to be thinking about is rushing out so you can make your next meeting or appointment. The best thing you can do on your spa day is to carve out the entire day for your much needed rest and relaxation. You won’t regret it!
2. Be adventurous.
In other words, keep an open mind! Your therapist may notice you carry tension in your neck, back, or even your legs! Consider their suggestions, and be willing to try new things. Never had a facial? Your spa day is the perfect time to try one out. Don’t get stuck in your routine just because it’s what you’ve “always done.” Be willing to try new things on your long awaited for spa day!

4. Drink lots of water.
This is a big one. When you go to the spa, chances are that you will get massaged in some way. It’s a well-known fact that massage therapy helps remove toxins from your muscle tissue, and this can cause dizziness. Drinking enough water will keep those toxins well flushed through your system, and will also ensure that you remain hydrated throughout the day! So, drink up!
5. Dress in comfortable clothing.
Really, don’t worry about fashion, makeup, or jewelry on spa day. It is best to be as comfortable as possible, especially after you are finished. Think about it: after all that delicious pampering, the last thing you are going to want to do is put on your tight pants, high-heels, and uncomfortable bracelets. Do yourself a favor, and leave these items at home!
6. Leave your worries at the door!
It will do you no good to invest in a spa day if you are worried the whole time. Worry leads to tension, which is the opposite feeling you want when you are getting spa treatments. Take the day to relax, and leave your worries at the door. You will better off because of it!
